Marshall Munhumumwe was a Zimbabwean musician. He became popular with his song 'Mbereko Yakaramba'. He led the Four Brothers group for two and a half decades before suffering a severe stroke and eventually dying in 2001.

Background

Marshall Munhumumwe was a former drummer, lead singer and songwriter, learned his craft from his nephew Thomas Mapfumo.

Munhumumwe left Mapfumo's band in 1977 and went on to create the Mighty Four Brothers together with lex Phiri Chipaika (rhythm guitar and later keyboards), Edward Ulaya Zulu (lead guitar) and Never Mutare on bass.[1]
