News:Biti And Makoni Not Part Of Coalition To Hold March On August 26. Says There Is Need For Reforms
Tendai Biti has revealed that his party People's Democratic Party which is an offshoot of MDC-T, is not part of the coalition that will carry out a march on August 26 2016 for electoral reforms. (read more on here)
Responding to a tweet on whether he was part of the coalition that consists of Morgan Tsvangirai and Joice Mujuru, Biti said that his party is yet to be approached for a coalition.

Mavambo Kusile Dawn which is led by Simba Makoni, also revealed that they are not part of the coalition that will hold a march aimed at the introduction of electoral reforms and encouraged Biti to join the coalition as well. Biti highlighted that there was need for reforms and that parties in the coalition would be on an equal footing.

Makoni and Biti are part of Coalition of Democrats (CODE) which includes Renewal Democrats of Zimbabwe led by Elton Mangoma, MDC-led by Welshman Ncube, ZAPU led by Dumiso Dabengwa, Democratic Assembly for Restoration and Empowerment led by Gilbert Dzikiti and Farai Mbira’s Zimbabweans United for Democracy (ZUNDE). Zimbabwe People First and MDC-T are not part of CODE.
However, the Welshman Ncube-led MDC, Zanu Ndonga and Zunde are part of National Electoral Reform Agenda (Nera) which will plans to hold a march on August 26.
