News:Doctors refuse medical aid cards

<vote /> Patients with medical aid insurance will from 1 July be referred to government hospitals by private doctors if they cannot pay cash upfront.

In May the Zimbabwe Medical Association warned that it would stop accepting medical aid cards, accusing medical aid funds of not paying on time among many other complaints.

Zimbabwe Medical Association President, Dr Agnes Mahomva said that ZiMA had advised doctors to install point of sale points at their hospitals to cater for the cash crisis.
