News:Dokora addresses uniform claims

The Minister of Primary and Secondary education Dr Lazarus Dokora has commented on the issue of teachers' uniforms. Dokora dismissed the claims that have been doing the rounds on social media that his ministry would soon make it mandatory for teachers to wear uniforms,

"When we introduce a new policy, we don't go on WhatsApp. All those rumours, they have even made my beard longer than it was...do not be misled by those guys."

In his speech Dokora also went on to reiterate that his ministry was looking forward to the formation of a teachers' council for the first time in Zimbabwe. He also highlighted that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education was working on improving the quality of education in the country by reviewing the curriculum.
