News:Rev T.Chivaviro Appointed Global Ambassador For Alive Albinism
<vote /> Gospel musician Rev TT Chivaviro has been appointed global ambassador for Alive Albinism Initiative. The deal will see the musician participating in awareness adverts, jingles and songs, among other albinism awareness campaign activities.
Executive director of the organisation, Marange Tapiwa Gwenlisa confirmed the development in an interview with the Herald,
Noting the influence of Rev Chivaviro, both as an ecclesiastical leader and as a gospel artiste, the managing board of Alive Albinism Initiative has felt confident that a mergence between the organisation and the musician will be an important union primarily in raising global awareness.
Chivaviro, who rose to fame with the hit “Ebenezer”, expressed his willingness to work with the organisation to raise awareness, <blocckquote>I am happy that God has granted me an opportunity to work on such an initiative. We have to work together to create awareness on albinism. I will work hard in making sure we fight any form of segregation
There have been misconceptions associated with albinism in Africa hence the organisation felt there was need for more awareness campaigns to fight mistaken beliefs.
