Shebeen King who assaulted woman over $6 to go back to court after magistrate declares mistrial

The Glen View “shebeen king”, who brutally assaulted a woman over a $6 debt, is in jeopardy as his case is going back to the courts after the magistrate declared a mistrial.  Initially, Kumbirai Musariri, the “shebeen king” had been fined a paltry $50 for his brutal attack. This was condemned by most cross sections of society as being too lenient, leading to many women launching protests against the attack and sentence.

This pressure from the protests pushed the magistrate who had presided over the case to declare a mistrial.  This means that Musariri will return to the courts to answer for the brutal attack and perhaps his murderous intentions.
