More than 1.5 million Zimbabweans are suffering from diabetes, the Zimbabwe Diabetic Association has said. Diabetes is a long-term condition that causes high blood sugar levels.
At an event of the launch of the association’s website, the government said that it is working with the association to make diabetes medication free of charge in Zimbabwe. This would cost the government billions a year. The event was attended by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MInistry of ICT, Supa Mandiwanzira.
