There are reports of running battles between police and protesters around Leopold Takawira Street close to Choppies Supermarket. Activists and opposition parties had called for a huge demonstration to protest against the bond notes. However, the police seem to have been particularly vigilant today, as they had earlier on dispersed a group of about 50 MDC-T youths. According to reports it seems like riot police has been deployed heavily in the city centre.
