Some Bulawayo fuel stations reject plastic money

Engen, and Trek service stations in Bulawayo are not accepting plastic money due to undisclosed reasons.

A quick survey by State owned, The Chronicle, established that fuel attendants at the two fuel stations were instructed by their seniors not to accept cards as a means of paying for fuel although the two stations are said to be accepting the bond notes. Two economic analysts who were interviewed by the paper, attributed the suspension of swipe machines by some fuel dealers as measures they were putting to reduce delays they would go through when waiting for their foreign exchange allocation from the central bank.
