Banks around the country had long queues as people tried to withdraw money for Christmas holiday spending. Banks were giving as little as $50. A lot of people however make it a point to travel during the holidays and this has contributed to a higher demand for the small withdrawal.
The Bond Notes that were expected to ease the cash crisis seem to not have much impact as withdrawal limits have not increased and the long queues are the order of the day.
