Mahendere Brothers release new album "Rebirth"

Mahendere Brothers which had spent some time without releasing music has made a comeback with their new album titled “Rebirth”.

People who worked on the album include; Lead and rhythm guitars experts Clive “Mono” Mukundu, Antony Gasani and Mischeck, six-year old Joshua Mahendere, who does some vocals on the song “Vanouya Chete” and bass guitarist Carven Gumbanjera. The four brothers Amos, Akim, Mischeck and Michael do the vocals with Michael playing the drums as well. They also feature Lean Mukendi Kalonji from the Democratic Republic of Congo on the song “Farai Munashe”.

The album consists of songs such as “He butters my bread”, “Vanouya Chete”, “Tinokusuwa/We miss you”, “Mukadzi waPotifa” “Rudo rwechokwadi”, “Chitujaule Kwiinani”, “One thing I know” and “Sindiopa” with remixes of their popular tracks “Farai Munashe”, “Makafanira kurumbidzwa”, “Hupenyu hwapanyika” and “Jehovha ndiye mufudzi wangu”.
