Zimbabweans express outrage at new prohibitive mobile data prices from Econet Wireless Zimbabwe

Understandably, most Zimbabweans took to social media to voice their almost universal outrage. Some were more restrained than others. Here are some of their sentiments.

I have a soft spot for it, given its history, but I'm not sure it is the victim here. They may have to explain a bit more so we understand https://t.co/oMPTV0V8aU

Charging $1 for 10MB is a Stone Age tendency, not innovation. You can't even download two emails with that! https://t.co/5mdJr09cXY

Talk of dereliction of duty by @Potraz_zw. Why protect against revenue declines, it's not like it's loss making. MNOs just had to innovate

Very strong reaction to the new data prices. However, as with many other issues, the outrage will die down, we'll all adjust and accept.
