Nolini Sibanda (37) threw herself through a window from United Bulawayo Hospitals’ maternity ward, becoming the second woman since 2014 to commit suicide.
The Director of UBH Dr Narcisius Dzvanga yesterday confirmed the latest suicide and said that the case had been handed over to the police for investigations. Said Dzvanga:
I can only confirm that it happened but I won’t comment further as the matter is under investigation by law enforcement agents. Have her relatives have not even come to my office to discuss it.
He also said that the hospital was amazed at how she managed to throw herself when the burglar bars were still intact.
