Evidence shows Charles Kuwaza could have been murdered Mafia style says The Zimbabwe Independent

The Zimbabwe Independent reports that the late former State Procurement Board (SPB) chairperson Charles Kuwaza could have been murdered as opposed to him committing suicide, as he was involved in a legal battle with the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) and the SPB over ownership of cars and a house in Borrowdale where she was staying.

Speaking to The Independent Kuwaza’s lawyer Shadreck Chisoko dismissed claims Kuwaza could have killed himself over the court case. Said Chisoko:

We had criminal charges and my client was on bail but we believe the charges were manifestly weak. I met my client on Monday and he was eager to defend the case in court. In any case the police are not investigating a case of suicide as has been widely reported in the media but they are investigating a case of sudden death. The police investigations will establish whether the cause of death was suicide or if there was foul play.

Investigations by The Independent suggest that Kuwaza could have been murdered. The newspaper reports that there was an oil like substance which appears to have been used to remove blood stains on Kuwaza’s office chair and walls. Those around the scene also confirmed that Kuwaza did not scream which raises suspicion that he could have been dead or unconscious when he fell.
