Junior Nkala(5) and his sister Sithandweyinkosi (3) drowned while trying to swim in Zamba Dam in Filabusi on Thursday. The two deceased were the only children in their family. Their cousin, Patience Nkala (3) survived and was found wandering away from the dam. The bodies were later retrieved by villagers. The children had been left in the custody of a neighbour as their grandparents had to attend a family meeting. The children were staying with their grandparents in the rural areas while their parents work in Bulawayo.
