The Harare-Bulawayo highway accounted for the highest number of accidents in 2016. The highway had 569 accidents which is 44% of the 1 291 fatal road accidents recorded in 2016. Below are the figures for other highways:
- Beitbridge-Chirundu highway- 304 (23 percent)
- Harare-Bindura highway- 128
- Harare-Murehwa- 97
- 193 fatal accidents occurred on all the urban centres combined
