In a statement, Ministry of Agriculture Department of Livestock and Veterinary Services acting principal director, Dr Josphat Nyika confirmed the outbreak of Avian Influenza- H5N8 type virus Lanark Farm in Beatrice for the second time this year.
Dr Nyika said after the first outbreak in May this year the farm had been in quarantine under veterinary supervision and will now remain in quarantine for three months or until the disease is completely dealt with.
