New details on Mnangagwa poisoning emerge
Zanu-PF insiders who spoke to NewsDay have revealed that Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa was poisoned using a radioactive substance known as thallium, mainly used by Russia’s spy agency to eliminate anti-government activists. Preliminary indications were that Mnangagwa had been poisoned using palladium.
An insider told NewsDay that:
The swelling, near shut-down of all organs and diarrhoea are symptoms more synonymous with thallium than palladium. Mnangagwa had to be sedated to relieve pressure on vital organs.
FeedbackA Mnangagwa sympathiser told the publication that when Mnangagwa’s South African doctors met President Robert Mugabe they told him that the VP had eaten food laced with thallium. Said the Mnangagwa sympathiser:
When ED (Mnangagwa)’s South African doctors met the President, they revealed that, indeed, the VP had ingested food laced with thallium. It is still not known how he took the poison, with conflicting reports still filtering in.
Investigations have not yielded conclusive information amid allegations that some arms of State are not cooperating.
