Jonathan Moyo Finds No Sympathy After Claiming That He Was Attacked By 25 SAS Snipers
Former Minister Jonathan Moyo claimed that 25 Snipers from the Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment attacked Saviour Kasukuwere’s house and indiscriminately fired bullets despite the fact that Moyo and Kasukuwere’s families were hiding there. Moyo revealed this on social media site Twitter. However, instead of sympathising with the former minister, most people took the opportunity to remind Moyo of his own shortcomings and how he had contributed to his situation. The post also generated a lot of engagement with at least 2000 replies and almost 300 retweets

Remember your response on Mugabe using the army " Where soldiers are deployed do you expect a picnic" This has been the way Zimbabweans been living in the hands of the CIO, ZRP and the army. I wish they stop harassing kids but you, Kama took your address
— Solomon Harudzibwi (@S_Harudzibwi) November 28, 2017
As a Zimbabwean I empathise with you. As someone who is from Matabeleland, who has opposed your regime and has seen many friends brutalised by your regime I will just quote Malcom X "the chickens have come home to roost"
— Hilton Mendelsohn🇿🇼🇬🇧 (@hjmendelsohn) November 28, 2017
Jonathan Moyo this is not the new Zimbabwe , this is just the continuation of the system you left behind. Don't be surprised. Welcome to the opposition !!
— Wellence Mujuru (@WellenceMujuru) November 28, 2017
I would sympathise with you if it were not for the fact that you are part and parcel of the whole problem. If it had happened to anyone in the opposition you would have been laughing and saying it’s the rule of law. Welcome to our world
— Tendekayi Tapera (@tndky) November 28, 2017
Your kids are lucky they still know your whereabouts what about Itai Dzamara. I remember you laughing at them when their dad was abducted. Ndiyo yamaiti Zanu Chiororo
— Chalton Hwende( MP) (@hwende) November 28, 2017
I would think of Itai Dzamara and how I mocked his family. I would think is this karma? I would think maybe I should hand myself in rather than leaving my family to sort out the mess you made! I would regret making deals with the devil. They have immunity and u don’t!
— Chelle Chips (@ChelleChipato) November 28, 2017
You would apologise to your families for bringing this upon them and to rest of Zimbabweans for not caring about their plight as both MP and Minister… njengo Mmeli wabo ephalamendi lesiphathamandla sikaHulumende

They resisted arrest.
Those are signs of forceful entry after they barricaded themselves in the house.
If the men 20 snipers like he said and they were targeting to kill/wound people why is it that no one sustained a gunshot wound?
And apprehending criminals is not brutality.

Prof garai pasi. We told u several times that u are an evil man. Now u feel how it feels when the poor were oppressed by your draconian laws. You are selfish and arrogant. Its all about you. Not at moment do u represent the rights of many. For now, enjoy🐍
— manu (@LeoJarz) November 28, 2017
You do not have to like Jonathan or Kasukuwere to know that Chiwenga's army does not know the limits of its power. If Kasukuwere and Jonathan are criminals, Zimbabwe has laws and institutions to deal with that.
— Idriss A. Nassah (@mynassah) November 28, 2017
Bond attack laddies and gentleman. Carried out by bond snippers firing bond tracer bullets & grenades. So all the snipers missed the target!

You never cared when it happened to other Zimbabweans… Don't come back to zim, you are not wanted here
— Tony Stark (@ggreeff77) November 28, 2017
Very unfortunate @ProfJNMoyo but this is not new to the opposition supporters. The difference now is merely a change of victims here..
— Munashe Chinyama🇿🇼🇳🇦 (@PhysioMunche) November 28, 2017
It’s not justice, I agree with you. But it is the system yu & others supported for so long when it targeted opposition. The Daily News was bombed & yu were Info Minister? I don’t condone this at all but I blame u guys for failing to set up strong civil, democratic institutions.

You ask similar questions that these displaced people probably asked several times when ZRP made those infamous dawn raids and burnt their homes on behalf of Grace. No one in Gvt heard their cry. You must feel the same way today. pic.twitter.com/Wc9J7HcpX6

It's a new era when the sword is turned to its own. Never had we thought we could see this day. Now we all know how precious life is.
— Gary Mlambo (@mambogary) November 28, 2017
Do not dare try to get pity from us. You made a mockery of Zimbabwean struggles by propping up a system that was robbing us. You brought this on your children. You didnt have pity for the families Grace was throwing out kuMazowe uko.
— Her Grace (@Ruekudzo) November 28, 2017
This is nothing new under the sun. Police would beat citizens up all the time and noone cared, abduction of citizens etc but we stayed resilient. Im sure you will get over this, its a minor compared to what millions of Zimbabweans went through over the last 37yrs .. pic.twitter.com/G2UBhiMLoL
— God'sFavourite (@lee_zorodzai) November 28, 2017
Its just a continuation of the past 37 years, only you are on the 'wrong side' this time. This is no new era, its just the usual, only more overt!
— Zibusiso J. Dube (@ZibusisoJD) November 28, 2017
I know am supposed to feel sad but yoh when all those people were being harassed and being kidnapped did you do anything??
— Mai_Nicole (@vimz12) November 28, 2017
Sad that your family were subjected to this but you have yourself to blame. You slept in the same bed with the devil, did you not think day of reckoning was coming? How bout all those who died just for protesting against Mugabe, I wonder if u thought of them.
— Chelle Chips (@ChelleChipato) November 28, 2017
Seriously dude yu want our sympathy afta millions n millions of Zim pple suffered with yo cruelty nxaah😡😡😡
— Prudence (@misspee07007) November 28, 2017
I totally understand you and feel sorry . I have been going through it for years now, hope my nightmare is over while yours begins

I’m trying hard to imagine what on earth would justify this in a country not at war. This isn’t the end – if army officers who authorized this get away with it. I see another ‘military intervention’ in my lifetime
— ZANDATOTO (@xandatoto) November 28, 2017
Is he the same guy who said It's Dzamara was not kidnapped but went into hiding. For your own information Jonathan the army was using blanks not live bullets otherwise you could have been biltong by now.
— Mike Gosten (@GostenMike) November 28, 2017
But we have always said Zanupf is evil and you guys called us all sorts of names
— Zenzele (@zenzele) November 28, 2017
Who timed the attack? (15 min). Who counted the snipers (25). And all seven occupants survived the attack you describe here, no casualties? Botched job then. Were you even at home? Of course evidence of attack is there for all to see, but aren't you embellishing a wee bit?

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO YOU! 😂
— Be the Change (@Iam_nqobs) November 28, 2017
At least you got to your 15 minutes of near death experience, Prof; ordinary Zimbabweans have been experiencing such for decades.
— Ntambu (@Mukalanga) November 28, 2017
Baba for now keep quiet, a lot of Zimbabweans suffered from your inhumane decision. Your complicity compliance can not just be left unchecked or unpunished. I feel sorry for your properties being vandalised but surely this would not be happening had you stayed to face the music.
— Maxwell_Kabasa (@MaxKabasa) November 28, 2017
25 SAS snipers and you all survived and not a single victim? Id say these snipers are a peaceful bunch, what say the others?
