How Zimbabweans Have Reacted To David Coltart's Apology For Rhodesian Atrocities

Senator David Coltart issued an apology for his role as a member of the British South African Police in sustaining the colonial regime.
He also took time to issue an apology for the atrocities carried out by the Rhodesian regime and set the record straight concerning a number of areas such as allegations that he killed black Zimbabweans and that he was a Selous Scout.
Below are some of the reactions on Twitter:
I repect Sen Coltart for this statement he was bullied into issuing. I've never felt any anger or resentment towards him, white as he is, for whatever role he played in Rhodesia. Some black freedom fighters have committed worse in Zim against black Zimbos.
They'll never apologize pic.twitter.com/BeGOk0CcDo— Tich Ray (@TichRay) January 27, 2018
Its not only Coltart who must apologise.

I applaud the apology by mr coltart @DavidColtart , however, th good man was only representing himself, doug killed, tortured and decapitated a few, there are many rodhies and their offspring out there who are stil yet to accept their bad past. We need an apology from Britain

Even though Coltart apologised, it makes me think of the other men around his age who did far worse, never faced punishment, and don't feel any remorse.
Some of the soldiers you see in the archive footage of the Chimurenga, they're still very much alive.— Semi-vegan (@MGMuzenda) January 27, 2018
While this apology is a bit late,at least he has swallowed his pride. We await an apology from other quarters too.Let’s hope same pressure applied to Coltart, will be applied to ED & https://t.co/HrLHKkvVpg’s only fair that way

I personally understand his situation there are many blacks who did NS in order to go to university bt quickly changed alliance in 1980. If #David Coltart can apologise what more of those who served in RAR, Patu, SS, Guard force, etc bt changed allegiancein 1980?

They known to many mostly by their current allegiance their past is known by a few. Eg Chiyangwa served in the same force as Coltart, the late popular Mhiripiri of Rusape, former Manicaland provincial official was an auxilliary
