Zimpapers Applies For Content Distribution Licence, BAZ Inviting Comments

State-owned publisher Zimbabwe Newspapers (Zimpapers), the publishers of the Herald, Chronicle, Sunday Mail and Sunday News have applied to the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) for a Content Distribution Service Licence. The publisher runs its own online television network known as Zimpapers Television Network (ZTN) which started in late 2017.

BAZ has invited people who wish to comment on the matter to do so within 14 days from today. The Notice from BAZ reads,

TAKE NOTICE that the Applicant has applied for a Content Distribution Service Licence as stipulated in the Broadcasting Services Act (Chapter 12:06).
