Minister Accused Of Tampering With Aspiring Candidates' CVs

Labour and Social Welfare Minister Petronella Kagonye was accused by fellow Zanu-PF aspiring candidates of tampering with their curricula vitae.
Aspiring candidates protested before Goromonzi South constituency coordinator Reuben Nhamo, threatening to derail the process after they accused Kagonye of opening Sharon Mugabe and Frank Chitukutuku’s CVs. A provincial member and fellow aspiring candidate Regai Cheuka said he saw Kagonye opening other candidates’ CVs and making adverse comments on them when he went to Goromonzi District offices to submit his receipt showing that he had paid up subscriptions. He told The Herald that Kagonye threatened to have him arrested after he protested against her for opening other candidates’ CVs.
When contacted for comment by The Herald, Kagonye denied the allegations saying they were only meant to tarnish her image while Zanu-PF provincial chairperson Joel Biggie Matiza said he had not been briefed about the incident.
