Presidential spokesperson George Charamba has revealed that Andrew Bvumbe, who recently left his role at the World Bank, will be a technical advisor to the President and cabinet. It had been speculated that Bvumbe would replace current RBZ governor John Panonetsa Mangudya. However, it has since been revealed that Mangudya’s tenure at the RBZ will soon be extended. Charamba claims that Mangudya is even more qualified than Bvumbe. He said
Why is there that misconception that when you come back from the World Bank, you must be landed with the post of the governor? This guy is an MSc; Mangudya has a PhD. Which is a higher qualification, what is the point?
