A goods train derailed after hitting a truck on the Masvingo-Beitbridge highway and rail crossing. The accident brought traffic to a halt as it could not enter the town using the route. The rail is said to have suffered huge damage and was torn off on a more than 50 metres stretch. A ZBC News report says that the truck driver refused to give his account while the crew of the locomotive were taken to a hospital.
