ZIFA Prepared To Offer Antipas New Contract - Report

The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) retains confidence in Warriors caretaker coach Joey Antipas and is expected to open negotiations with the Chicken Inn gaffer ahead of the expiry of his caretaker role on December 31.

ZIFA spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela told ZTN that the Technical Development Committee will decide on the way forward when Antipas’s contract expires at the end of the year. Said Gwesela:

The current technical team headed by Antipas was appointed on an interim basis until December 31. Beyond that, the Zifa Executive council will decide on the way forward.

The technical Development Committee will evaluate that (performance) and present a report to the Executive council.

ZTN reports that ZIFA president Felton Kamambo believes in Antipas and he has been charmed by the work done since he was appointed six Warriors games ago.
