Cattle farmers in Beitbridge district are apprehensive over a looming drought. There is a genuine concern that their livestock is under threat as the pastures continue to dwindle.

Beitbridge district, located in Matabeleland South Province, generally the driest region in the country, has over 95 000 cattle. The area, however, has very few pastures.
