100 Litres Of Water Being Sold For R150 As Beitbridge Town Runs Dry Due To Water Pipe Burst

Beitbridge residents are experiencing a massive water crisis after a major pipe burst on the mainline that supplies the whole town.

As a result, the border town has been experiencing acute water shortages for the past two days.

The areas experiencing the worst shortages include the western suburbs (Dulivhadzimo South and North), CBD, referral hospital, the border post and light industries.

Residents and businesses with boreholes installed on their properties are making a killing from selling water with 100 litres of water being sold for between R100 and R150.
