The City of Harare is mulling plans to build a new state of the art stadium in order to meet the demands of the city.
This was revealed by Harare City Council Housing Director Addmore Nhekairo. Said Nhekairo:
Currently, we have five stadiums that we have as a city but looking at the demands that the city requires.
We have decided as the city to come up with a new state of the art stadium which will be located to the south of High Glen close to the roundabout.
The intention this year is to ensure that up to design level, we will have done that.
It is our hope that this is going to be a 3, maximum 4-year project and this is what we are going to set out to do.
For 2019, we have set aside $ 1, 4 000 000 for the works that I have just highlighted.
