Govt Engages Local Baker To Produce Bread With 100% Local Ingredients
The government has revealed that it has found a baker who is able to produce a standard loaf of bread using local ingredients.
Douglas Kwenda of Gweru has been doing that for the past two years. The government considers the “discovery” will help the country reduce its import bill on wheat.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity reads as follows:
Government is engaging a baker who produces a standard loaf of bread with 100 per cent local ingredients, including wheat which would help the country save on wheat imports.
Douglas Kwenda debunks the myth that Zimbabwean wheat is not fit to produce a standard loaf of bread to Cabinet. He has been producing a standard loaf of bread in Gweru for the past 2 years.
