President Mnangagwa has declared national mourning days for Cyclone Idai victims in Zimbabwe.
In a notice on Twitter, the Ministry of Information, Publcity and Broadcasting said Mnangagwa has declared Saturday 23 March and Sunday 24 March as national mourning days. The Information Ministry Said:
President Mnangagwa has declared this Saturday and Sunday(23 & 24 March 2019) National Mourning Days.
The number of recorded deaths currently stands at 139 while 189 are reported missing, 144 are injured 144 and 136 are marooned.
