Mnangagwa Meets Presidential Advisory Council

President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Tuesday met with members of the Presidential Advisory Council (PAC).

The meeting was also attended by his two Deputies, Rtd General Constantino Chiwenga and Rtd Colonel Kembo Mohadi, several cabinet ministers and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor John Mangudya.

In his remarks to the media soon after the meeting, President Mnangagwa said:

The meeting has been extremely educative on both sides, sharing of information about the challenges facing our country.

We are happy that all of us are concerned about our country and are putting our heads together to make sure we move our country forward as a people.

Joe Mutizwa, who is the PAC spokesperson, said that they were hopeful that certain actions will be taken in the interests of the country based on the exchanges they had with the President.

The PAC is a 26-member panel established by President Mnangagwa early this year. It consists of experts and leaders drawn from different sectors like business, health and social protection, agriculture among others.
