Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union Zimbabwe has taken to social media to discredit a poster that is flying around saying they are in association with Tajamuka in calling for a shutdown. Tajamuka has come up to say 1 July 2019 workers should stay at home and not go to work till the government has addressed issues surrounding unemployment, the currency issue, the food crisis, the power crisis and the water crisis.
The poster circulating says ARTUZ is in association with Tajamuka and many other movements like ZTCU and ZINASU and ZISO calling for a strike starting on Monday 1 July 2019 etc. ARTUZ has tweeted and branded the flier as fake news and further urged citizens to be vigilant in guarding against misinformation as they have not called for any strike so far.

Strikes are almost imminent as ZCTU and Tajamuka have said something about them in the last few days. Wages and salaries have gone down the drain since the economy has taken a nosedive and inflation has been on an exponential increase.
