The MDC Youth League has staged a “free Sikhala” demonstration ahead of Job Sikhala’s court hearing this afternoon.
Sikhala was arrested and charged with subversion after he said that his party will overthrow the government before 2023. He was speaking to party supporters in Bikita Masvingo.
The case has since been transferred to Masvingo where he made the remarks.
Sikhala joins a bevvy of MDC members and other civil society organisations’ leaders who in the past have also been charged with subversion of a Constitutionally established government.
