A human rights campaigner and chairperson of the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition Youth Committee, Pride Mkono has been arrested.
According to the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), Mkono has been charged with subverting a constitutional government by the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
Mkono allegedly plotted to overthrow President Emmerson Mnangagwa through a post he made on Twitter
This brings to 22 the number of citizens charged with treason since January 2019.
