Chamisa Speaks On Bus Stop TV Satirist's Kidnapping & Torture
MDC president Nelson Chamisa has castigated the abduction and torture of a local female actor and comedian, Samantha Kureya of Bus Stop TV who is popularly known as Gonyeti.
Chamisa said that an attack on a creative community icon like Gonyeti is a cruel attack on women, the creative industry and the media. He said:
Beyond human rights violations, violence, inhuman and degrading treatment, this attack on a woman who is using her talent to earn an honest living is barbaric.Feedback

Meanwhile, Team Pachedu has called for “feminists” who at one point attacked Chamisa for alleged misogynistic statements to condemn the abduction and torture of Gonyeti. They wrote:

We are still waiting for the so-called feminists who blasted Chamisa to equally condemn the abduction and torture of Gonyeti.
We are also still waiting for the GVT, which is lightning quick to issue statements against MDC, to equally issue a statement condemning the attack.
Gonyeti was on Wednesday night kidnapped from her Mufakose home by unknown men wielding assault rifles.
She was taken to Crowborough where her captors stripped her naked, beat her up and forced her to drink sewerage before dumping her.
The matter is currently under police investigations.
The attack was carried out a few hours after a social media user, one Nomatter Magaya warned her that she was next in line for abduction.
The faceless character warned Gonyeti against dabbling in politics.
