WARNING: A Heat Wave Is Coming - Experts

Residents of Bulawayo have been warned that this coming Saturday will be the hottest day of 2019 with temperatures expected to hit 36 degrees on that day according to AccuWeather, The Chronicle reports. Zimbabwe last recorded a heatwave that even broke a 60-year record in 2015. A statement from AccuWeather reads in part:

Temperatures will rise on Thursday where there will be pleasant sunshine and even on Friday the temperature is expected to be at around 32 Degrees Celsius. However, on Saturday there will be lots of sunshine and it will be unseasonably hot.

When the publication contacted Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe to ask about the supposed impending heatwave the department said they can only forecast up to 3 days hence they couldn’t deny or confirm what AccuWeather have forecasted.
