The president of splinter MDC, Dr Thokozani Khupe has called for the removal of sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe saying they were choking efforts to resuscitate the economy.
The United States of America, the United Kingdom and the European Union imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe on the turn of the millennium over alleged Human Rights Abuses.
Khupe speaks when Zimbabwe and her SADC counterparts declared 25 October an Anti-Sanctions Day.
Meanwhile, the USA, EU and UK are adamant that the sanctions were imposed on individuals within the ruling ZANU PF and a few entities not on Zimbabwe as a country.
