Nurses At Harare Council Clinics Go On Strike

Nurses at all council clinics in Harare have downed tools with effect from Monday, 4 November 2019, citing incapacitation.
City Health Director Dr Prosper Chonzi confirmed the development to The Herald on Monday morning. He said:
As you know, most patients were now receiving treatment from clinics because of the current industrial action at central hospitals. This development will leave more patients stranded and with no alternatives to care.
FeedbackReports indicate that by midmorning on Monday only sisters-in-charge had reported for work at most local authority-owned clinics.
Meanwhile, doctors at public hospitals have been on strike for over two months citing incapacitation.
