The water crisis is almost everywhere in Zimbabwe, that is, in both rural and urban areas. Local government authorities have been failing to provide citizens with potable water, a problem that was worsened by the El Nino induced drought that saw many water bodies drying up.
The video below is an indication of how scarce water is in the country. Residents are seen fighting for water at a borehole, at an unknown local location. Residents’ frustration is probably caused by, among other things, fatigue after very long hours in elongated queues to get water. Watch for more.
