BCC Temporarily Replaces Kambarami

The Bulawayo City Council has appointed a caretaker councillor to take care of fired Deputy mayor Tinashe Kambarani’s ward three in Bulawayo Sunday News reports.

A report seen by the publication talks about a Mr Chigora temporarily assuming Kambarami’s duties till his appeal at the High Court is finalised. The report reads in part according to Sunday News:

On the issue of a caretaker councillor for Ward Three, the committee supported the idea of Clr Silas Chigora (Ward Four) to be requested and appointed to take care of issues relating to Ward Three until the conclusion of the case involving Kambarami

Kambarami’s councillorship was nullified after it emerged he was convicted of petty theft last year before the elections.
