FULL TEXT: Passengers Association Of Zimbabwe Statement As 8 Perish In Horrific Accident

The president of the Passengers Association of Zimbabwe, Tafadzwa Goliati has sent condolences to families of eight people who died in a road accident over the weekend.

Reports suggest that a Toyota Hiace banged into the back of a Toyota Dyna and burst into flames. In a statement, Goliati said:

As Passengers Association of Zimbabwe, we are saddened and give our condolences to the families of eight people who perished after a Toyota Hiace rammed into the back of a Toyota Dyna and burst into flames, at the 31km peg Mazowe Centenary Road on 22 November around 7.30 pm.

We implore commuter omnibus drivers to put the lives of Passengers first, adhere to road rules and regulations and desist from carrying flammable goods. Passengers have once more died such a horrendous death in flames, possibly due to dereliction by carrying flammable goods and due to not keeping safe braking distance.
