Suicide Victim Blames The ZRP Boss In His Area For His Suicide

A man in Lower Gwelo hanged himself in his house and left a note that said he died because he couldn’t garner enough money to repair the local ZRP Boss’ pool table, the Chronicle reports.

It is believed Douglas Lunga was playing pool with his friend when the pools’ balls failed to come out and they resorted to smashing it on the floor in an attempt to solve their problem damaging the table in the process.

When the local police boss, Officer-in-Charge Inspector Joshua Ngeta heard about the incident, he ordered the 2 to the police station and detained them overnight before releasing both of them on condition that they pay US$500 each for him to repair the pool table.

Lunga then set down at his home and penned the suicidal note before taking his life in his bedroom. ZRP’s Midlands spokesperson when questioned about the incident said:

If I get the circumstances of the suicide, I will send the details to the national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi
