Traditional Leaders Throw Weight Behind National Thanksgiving Events

President of the Chiefs’ Council, Chief Fortune Charumbira, said traditional leaders have been trying to forge a working relationship with churches for the good of the country.
Chief Charumbira made the remarks during the National Thanksgiving and Dedication service held this Sunday at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair grounds in Bulawayo. He said:
As traditional leaders, we have been trying to work with the churches for the good of the nation. Traditional leaders are from God. This is very good for this country.
We were waiting for this moment as a country. National thanksgiving and dedication is something that has been missing in our society. Let us inculcate values of gratitude in our society.
The event was organised by Faith for the Nation Campaign, headed by Reverend Andrew Wutawunashe of the Family of God Church.
It ran under the theme: “Let us through homegrown unity affirm work and pray to achieve our national vision”.
