Marondera Town Council To Allocate 14000 Stands In 2020 To Clear Housing Backlog

Marondera Town council will hit the new decade ground running as they plan to clear their housing backlog by 82%, Daily News reports.

The council will allocate 14000 high and low density stands in a bid to clear its 17000 housing backlog. This was revealed by Marondera Mayor, Chengetai Murowa, as he was speaking to the publication:

According to the master plan, at Hunyani we are expecting 14 000 stands and servicing of the area is set to begin soon. We are also going to unveil stands in Shepperton area and we are confident the housing crisis will be dealt with after these projects.
