Former Advisor To ED Nominated For One Of Hollywood’s Largest Awards

Petina Gappah, a Geneva-based former advisor to President Emmerson Mnangagwa who is also an author and international lawyer has been nominated for one of Hollywood’s largest awards, NAACP Image Awards.
The annual awards ceremony by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in the United States of America which honours work in film, literature, television and music will be held on the 22nd of February this year.
Gappah’s recently published book, ‘Out Of Darkness Shining Light’ will compete with four others in the Outstanding Literary Work – Fiction category.
Gappah announced the good news on twitter saying that she was humbled by the nomination adding that it was an honour to be nominated among great people such as Lupita Chadwick Boseman Angela Basset and Eddie Murphy.
