NATIONAL PEACE AND RECONCILIATION COMMISSIONER RESIGNS FOR GREENER PASTURES.

The National Peace and Reconciliation Commission regrettably wishes to announce the resignation of one of its nine Commissioners – Mrs Netty Musanhu who had joined the Commission in 2016 like the rest of the other Commissioners.

Her departure is her resolution to a four-year-old conflict of interest in terms of the Chapter 12 Independent Commissions Provision Section 236(2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.

As a Commissioner she was in charge of the Victim Support, Gender and Diversity Thematic Area and Resource Mobilization as well as being a Commissioner in charge of Midlands Province.

The National Peace and Reconciliation Commission wishes to inform the public that with immediate effect Mrs Netty Musanhu is no longer a member of the Commission.

She no longer represents the Commission in any private or public capacity. She no longer has the authority to act on behalf of the Commissioners.

She no longer has any portfolio in the Commission. The donor community as some of our key stakeholders should pay special attention to this announcement.
