The MDC led by Nelson Chamisa brought the gross error in a Ministry Of Education Primary School approved textbook to Twitter’s attention today and urged the government to recall and correct the book.

The book which is used by the primary school pupils claim that Lovemore Majaivana one of the most popular musicians to ever come out of Matebeleland is late, whilst he is still alive.

Using their official Twitter handle the country’s leading opposition party tweeted:

We’re appalled that a book that is “approved by the Ministry of Education” contains embarrassing errors like this. Lovemore Majaivana is not “late”. He’s alive. There should be no room for such sloppiness in the school curriculum. The book must be recalled & corrected.
