Mliswa Declares War On Land Barons In Norton
Norton legislator Temba Mliswa (independent) has vowed to deal with illegal land barons in his constituency as soon as the fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic is over.
Speaking to members of rural Norton during a distribution programme of COVID-19 foodstuffs, Mliswa said that residents in the area were supposed to be the protectors of the land and other natural resources in their area.
In the past, local government authorities have been demolishing houses and other infrastructures which would have been erected in undesignated sites.
Desperate land seekers would have lost their hard-earned money which they would not recover after the demolitions.
