Mukandi Breaks Silence On Caps United Exit

Former Caps United midfielder Dominic Mukandi said he was embittered by the manner in which he was let go by the club at the end of the 2019 Premier Soccer League season.

Mukandi revealed that he learned through a WhatsApp group message that the Green Machine were not renewing his contract. He said:

I was on my own. I was in the wilderness and I just picked up the phone and called (Bulawayo City) coach Philani (Ncube) to say I was looking for a job and he said I should come and that is how I ended up in Bulawayo.

Mukandi was cut loose alongside Hardlife Zvirekwi, Carlos Rusere, and goalkeepers Chris Mverechena and Prosper Chigumba.

The players were suspected to have been behind a rebellion that cost Caps United the title last year.
