"We've Proved That Drax Doesn’t Exist In UAE," - Chin'ono

Zimbabwean award-winning journalist and filmmaker, Hopewell Chin’ono has said Drax International, a company that supplied Zimbabwe with personal protective equipment (PPEs) at exorbitant price, does not exist in the United Arab Emirates where it purportedly had offices.

The company is being linked to Collins Mnangagwa, the son of President Emmerson Mnangagwa who has however since dismissed the reports.

Chin’ono posted on Twitter saying:

We have proved that Drax doesn’t exist in the UAE. That its address there is FAKE. That it has been doing business with Mnangagwa’s regime before #COVID That its frontman is known to the Mnangagwa’s. That the letter written by Drax was FAKE! Why isn’t Mnangagwa FIRING Obadiah Moyo?

Chin’ono recently launched an aggressive anti-corruption campaign that saw him receiving deaths threats from the government.

He exposed several underhand dealings since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic that have in the process robbed the state of millions of dollars.

Chin’ono’s call for the dismissal of the Health Minister, Dr Obadiah Moyo has been enhanced by more calls from the opposition and some members of the public who feel that the minister’s strategy to fighting COVID-19 was lackadaisical.
